Rescuing The Monkey Shot

Some edits I do are repairs of something I messed up. I recently purchased a Sigma 150-600mm lens, and took it out to put it through its paces.
Being a Nikon shooter for 20 years, the fact that the Sigma zooms in the opposite direction of the Nikon is taking some time to get used to.
I suppose Sigma is closer to the Cannon camp then the Nikon. Cant we all just get along?

This shot was a “Decisive Moment” but instead of zooming into the dude, I was fully zoomed out. I kept forgetting to twist the other way. That lens is quite nice, and I could have got a much cleaner shot.
